The NEW HDP-Express™
incorporates all the key preamp, correction and crossover features of DEQX's reference quality HDP-3™. It uses Burr-Brown's new generation J-FET input op-amps and the same lightening fast Analog Devices (AD826) op-amps used in HDP-3™ for driving its stereo ADC and converting current to voltage following its six channels Analog Devices DACs. DEQX's reference HDP-3™
raises the bar to achieving audio realism by the similar four-fold improvement necessary
to migrate video from SDTV to HDTV. DEQX typically delivers at least a four-fold reduction of the inordinate 'linear' (predictable) errors that loudspeakers introduce. These rob your
music of being-there realism by upsetting timing coherence and introducing unnatural  frequency- response colourations. For
ultimate improvement, HDP-3™ provides
the option to upgrade your speakers to
'active', where separate amplifiers for each driver not only improve amplifier performance but also reduce driver breakup and cross
over distortion while improving dynamics
and natural dispersion. …read more

No speaker system on the planet can keep up with the music it's
fed - it's just a question of degree. "Timing is everything" as they say, and that's especially relevant to realistic sound reproduction where even the best audiophile speakers introduce 10-times more phase and timing errors than the signal driving them, not to mention similar magnitudes of frequency-response errors and distortion.

"Sure" you say, "Of course there are things I plan to do to improve my system." You might try a plethora of power, interconnect and speaker cables or power conditioners, de-jittered DACs, Class-A preamps and maybe even giant SET power amps. While each of these can make 'noticeable' improvements, none actually correct what's happening at the weakest link in your audio system - your speakers.

This is the sad fact that's rarely spoken about: until now the only way
to even minimise speaker distortions and errors has been to pay extraordinary amounts of money for them. Even then the results are wanting, so further improvements have focused on the audio signal
and amplifiers. The problem is that the totality of errors and distortions contained in the signal that drives our speakers contribute just a few percent of the total distortion and errors we finally hear; the rest are
from our speakers, and to a smaller degree, our room acoustics.

If we want our system to truly sound realistic we need to reduce each speaker's timing, phase and frequency-response errors to fractions
of a decibel with microsecond precision. This alone makes a dramatic improvement. For the best results, we go 'active' (where each driver
has its own power amp) to reduce InterModulation breakup distortion and crossover distortion while restoring natural dispersion and effortless dynamics. Professional audio engineers discovered the benefits of going 'active' decades ago - when it was complex and expensive. The good news is that DEQX is not only inexpensive,
but goes well beyond traditional 'active' speaker performance.

Introducing DEQX's reference quality HDP-3™, and the brand new HDP-Express™, the game changing Preamp/correction-processors
that allow you to enjoy the sonic benefits that naturally flow when your speaker's inherent errors are corrected and there is much less
distortion of the 'real' audio signal. Both DEQX processors allow you
to go fully 'active' for ultimate improvement, or make speaker, room
and media corrections a step at a time as your enthusiasm allows.
HDP-3™ is DEQX's reference processor used by many audiophiles
and manufacturers of the world's best 'price-no-object' speakers,
while the NEW HDP-Express™ lets you experience your music as never before at a price that's a steal.
