All that is about to change. The era of passive and uncorrected loudspeakers speakers will soon
be as obsolete as monochrome television. The High-Definition ‘being
there’ experience
is finally easy and inexpensive to achieve for manufacturers. More
importantly, virtually all consumers can hear
the benefits, as surely
as they can see the benefits between SDTV and HDTV.
Even the highest
quality loudspeakers benefit from DEQX-HD’s
active correction of individual drivers in both the time and frequency
domain using DEQX’s low-latency FIR (Finite Impulse Response)
processing. The DEQX-HD architecture also provides steep linear-phase crossovers to provide perfect driver integration that lowers distortion,
improves high frequency dispersion, and allows higher volume level
from smaller speakers by better quarantining energy to each driver.
With the native behavior of your loudspeaker performing ideally, especially
with regard to dispersion, there is little need for room correction,
except for bass frequencies. This is simply achieved using DEQX’s
multi-band, auto-setting parametric-EQ, that can also be adjusted manually
in real-time.
Since it is the speaker and not the media that is the
weak link that stops us from experiencing High Definition audio,
there is no need to wait for any agreement on new so called HD audio
formats. While these will provide the best possible playback experience,
the advantages that DEQX-HD provides are across all frequencies, particularly
improving mid-range and bass resolution that is apparent even from
compressed audio formats like MP-3 and compressed surround formats.
The resolution already contained in billions of CDs is
yet to be heard by 99.99% of the market that already own them!
